Plant Orders

Ship to contiguous US only.

I ship on Tuesday and Friday, via USPS Priority mail. 

Shipping may be delayed due to weather or order volume.

Your patience is greatly appreciated.  I am one person.  I am slow to respond when things are busy, and I am still getting used to the work flow and organization, and sometimes miss a message.  Please try to keep all email communications about an order to one email thread so that I can keep track.

Your plants will arrive well packed, healthy and ready to grow.  I do not risk shipping during hot or cold weather, and try to plan shipping days to ensure the best chance of arriving in good condition.  This requires a good deal of effort on my part, and I think it's worth it to be sure you're not disappointed when opening your box.  

I aim for a 2 day window for packages to leave my area, and an extra 2 days to arrive in yours.  Generally, aim for temperatures no lower than 45F.  Heat packs can be used as a last resort, or extra insurance - but I prefer not to rely on them.

Habenaria plants in active growth are difficult to ship without damaging the tender leaves.  My track record is excellent, but I cannot guarantee perfect foliage. I will guarantee they will be free from damage that affects the continued growth of the plant.

After they arrive, unpack ASAP.  If you feel they have not arrived in good condition - contact me within 2 days of delivery and include photos showing the damage, so I can determine the cause of the problem.  This is to help prevent similar issues in the future, or to avoid a certain shipping method, carrier or packaging, if necessary.

Quality Control -

Especially for Habenaria tubers and plants breaking dormancy - I do a check before packing to make sure there is a viable growth tip.  If I find a problem, I may hold that plant to be sure it is healthy before shipping at a later date.   I will make a note on your invoice, and you may ask for a refund or wait until I determine it is healthy and actively growing.
