Catasetum ivaneae - Seedling

Photo shows current growth as of 1/2 - some are going into dormancy and may have yellowing leaves by mid-January.  

This is a compact growing Catasetum species and makes a fantastic display of 40 or more tightly clustered flowers on a relatively short inflorescence, similar to denticulatum but with a large, full lip and more flowers.

Care during dormancy is easy - if in high humidity - no watering required.  For me, growing under lights indoors - give a little water if you see the pseudobulb shrivel - do NOT water again until it dries out completely.  Depending on humidity you may only need to dribble some water on once or twice during dormancy.  

These will be ready to pot up into 4 inch pots when the new growth takes off and leaves begin to separate.
