Division - Sold as bare tubers for 2025 Spring Shows
Note : the second photo contains reference for tuber sizes - these are plump potato-like tubers, and length may not be an accurate measurement for comparison with listings from other growers!
This is a large, vigorous and reliable cultivar that I have been growing under lights for more than a decade!
With proper care L/XL tubers will reach 3.5ft tall - not including the pot. All divisions sold are blooming size. Photo shows blooming potential from full size tubers. The smallest pots/tubers may need 3-4+ years to reach full size.
Tuber Size (Pot Size)
Small - 1 inch (3 in. pot)
Medium - 3 inches (3.5 in. tall pot)
Large - 4 inches (4 in. X-Tall pot)
XL - 5 inches (Tree-band pot)
Growing Tips:
Highly recommend potting this species in an extra tall pot to give plenty of vertical space for new tubers to develop, as they also get quite large - tree band pots are perfect for single extra large tubers.
Important - stake early (and carefully) before new tubers develop! Tie at the base to support the growth as soon as plant begins to go vertical - be careful not to restrict growth above the foliage. Do NOT wait until buds form to stake. Bamboo or wooden stakes recommended.
Be sure to provide lots of water, light and fertilizer during the growing season for the best results!
